Brief introduction of Spiral Classifier:
There are mainly four types of classifier: high weir single spiral classifier, high weir double spiral classifier, submerged single spiral classifier and submerged double spiral classifier. The equipment is mainly composed of driving device, spiral body,collection box, lifting unit, bottom support (engine bearing) and ore discharge valve.It mechanically classifies the ore materials through the mechanism of different sedimentation speed of solid particle in liquid due to different granularity and specific gravity. The fine ore floating in the water overflows out; and the coarse ore sediments on the tank bottom and then is pushed upwards by the spiral to be feed the grinding machine.
Applicable scope of spiral classifier:
1. Form a closed circulation with the ball grinder for ore-sand separation in the ore separation plant;
2. Classify ore sand and fine sludge in gravity ore separation plant;
3. Classify the ore pulp according to granularity during the metal ore separation process;
4. Remove sludge/water at the ore separation process.

Spiral classifier working principle
Different solid granularities have different gravity and thus have different dropping speed. The fine ore granularities floating in the water will overflow and the big ones will sink to the bottom and discharge from the upper part by spiral pushing. It can filter the granularities from the machine and then spin the rough particles to charging part by spiral vane and discharge the fine granularities from the overflow pipe. The base of the machine adopts a channel steel and the body adopts welded steel plate. The water inlet of spiral axle and axle head adopt pig iron cover for wear proofing and long life operation. The lifting equipment has two types, manual control and electric control.
